The State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) has detained the Vice Speaker of the Tash-Kumyr City Council for the second time. The press center of the SCNS reported.
According to it, the man allegedly extorted 45,000 soms from a citizen for resolving the issue of payment of wages from the local budget for his forced absence at work on the basis of a court order.
The vice speaker was caught red-handed and placed in the pre-trial detention center of the SCNS department of Jalal-Abad region.
The State Committee has already detained the man in June 2023. Then, being the speaker of Tash-Kumyr City Council, he received money from a representative of a contractor for accepting the results of the work performed. However, the court dismissed the criminal case against him due to reconciliation of the parties.
