An international training for diving specialists is taking place in Issyk-Kul region. The Russian Embassy in Kyrgyzstan reported.
According to it, rescuers from 11 countries, including Russia, Kazakhstan, Serbia, Tunisia, Palestine and others, are undergoing advanced training in diving in Issyk-Kul under the auspices of the International Civil Defense Organization (ICDO).
For almost two weeks, theoretical classes were held for divers, methods of working underwater in high-altitude conditions were practiced: descent to a depth of up to 30 meters, underwater rescue operations, first aid techniques.
«Such events under ICDO, regional office of which was opened in Bishkek in May 2024, are aimed at comprehensively strengthening international cooperation in the field of civil defense and emergency prevention. The chairmanship of the ICDO Executive Committee was transferred from Kyrgyzstan to Russia at the end of 2023,» the embassy reported.
