Kyrgyzstan reaches maximum figures in trade in goods and services

In the first quarter of 2024, foreign trade grew in most of the EAEU member states. The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) reported on its Telegram channel.

According to the EEC, the turnover of trade in goods and services in Armenia and Kyrgyzstan reached its maximum figures for the same periods since the beginning of integration ($11 billion and $5 billion, respectively).

During this period, a positive current account balance was observed in Kazakhstan and Russia.

It is also reported that, compared to the same period last year, the positive balance of trade in services in Armenia decreased by 19.1 percent, in Belarus — by 6.6 percent. The negative balance of trade in services in Kazakhstan decreased by 54.4 percent, in Russia — by 4.8 percent. The negative balance in Kyrgyzstan increased sixfold.
