A mob of teens on bicycles brutally attacked Kyrgyzstani and robbed him in downtown Los Angeles (USA). The incident occurred on August 2.
As the media report, a group of about 40 teens was biking through the area, taking up most of the roadway. Kyrgyzstani Shailoobek Bazarbai was in his car. Someone threw a bottle at his car and he decided to get out to look at the damage, the man told. When he got out, the crowd surrounded him and attacked.
The attackers broke the Kyrgyzstani’s leg, and also got into his car and stole all his belongings, including his wallet and passport. The victim’s car was also seriously damaged.
Shailoobek was saved by an eyewitness of the incident, Janeth Garcia, who was in another car at the intersection. As noted, the Los Angeles police have not arrested anyone yet.
Shailoobek Bazarbai uulu is raising funds to treat his broken leg, as well as to restore other lost valuables. He arrived in the United States a year ago.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan commented on the incident.
«The Consulate General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Chicago (USA) is conducting appropriate work on this matter to clarify all the circumstances of the incident with the citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic. This issue is under the control of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic,» the MFA said in the statement.
