Olympic silver medalist Munarbek Seyitbek uulu to get $25,000 from IBA

2024 Olympic silver medalist Munarbek Seyitbek uulu will receive $25,000 from the International Boxing Federation (IBA) for his second place at the Paris Games.

According to the IBA, Munarbek Seyitbek uulu will receive prize money from the International Boxing Federation for his result.

It is specified that the silver medalist of the Olympic boxing tournament will receive $25,000, and other $25,000 will be distributed evenly between the coach and the National Boxing Federation of Kyrgyzstan.

The winners will receive prize money from the IBA, if they successfully pass anti-doping test procedures.

Boxer from Kyrgyzstan Munarbek Seyitbek uulu won a silver medal at the Paris Olympic Games. In the weight category up to 57 kilograms, he competed with Abdumalik Khalokov from Uzbekistan in the final. The judges awarded the victory to the Kyrgyzstani’s opponent. At the tournament, the Kyrgyzstani won three victories over athletes from Cuba, the United States, and Bulgaria. The International Boxing Association (IBA) is an association of National Boxing Federations created on August 24, 1920. Before the suspension of recognition by the International Olympic Committee in 2019, it was the governing body of amateur boxing. In 2023, the IOC stripped the organization of its recognition. The association includes 203 National Boxing Federations from six continents, as well as five continental confederations.
