A relative of the crime kingpin Erkin Mambetaliev took away Bereke market from a businessman. The press center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) reported.
It was established that the previously detained man entered into a preliminary conspiracy with another citizen, who is related to one of the leaders of the organized crime group, Erkin Mambetaliev. Through threats, they obtained title documents and, using the patronage of the organized crime group, took away Bereke market, located on the territory of Dordoi shopping center, from the businessman.
The said persons threatened the businessman with physical violence against, if he continued to claim the market or contacted law enforcement agencies.
Earlier, the crime kingpin Erkin Mambetaliev was found to have property worth $4 million. He was detained as part of a criminal case initiated under Article 261 Part 2 «Participation in an organized group» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
