President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov presented awards to the athletes, who returned from the Olympic Games in Paris, at the ceremony of honoring the members of the Olympic team of Kyrgyzstan.
Wrestler Ernazar Akmataliev, swimmers Denis Petrashov and Elizaveta Pecherskikh, track and field athlete Sardana Trofimova, judokas Erlan Sherov and Kubanychbek Aibek uulu received 500,000 soms each and locally assembled Chevrolet cars from the president.
Wrestlers Amantur Ismailov, Bekzat Almaz uulu, Aiperi Medet kyzy and Ayaal Lazarev received one million soms each and a car.
Bronze medalists Zholaman Sharshenbekov, Akzhol Makhmudov, Uzur Dzhusupbekov and Aisuluu Tynybekova received Kia cars and 7 million soms each.
Silver medalists, wrestler Meerim Zhumanazarova and boxer Munarbek Seyitbek uulu, received Kia cars and 10 million soms each.
The athletes’ coaches also received awards from the president. The Olympic team coaches received the largest awards. Thus, the head coach of the Kyrgyz Greco-Roman wrestling team Azat Erkimbaev received 6,600 million soms, the head coach of the women’s wrestling team Nurbek Izabekov — 5,650 million soms, senior coaches — 4.5 and 5.5 million soms each.
The athletes’ personal coaches received from 50,000 soms to 2.5 million soms.
