Total foreign trade turnover in Kyrgyzstan amounted to $7.6 billion

Total foreign trade turnover in Kyrgyzstan amounted to $7.6 billion. This is 9.4 percent more than in the same period in 2023. The press service of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce reported.

According to the ministry, exports accounted for 16.9 percent of the trade turnover, and imports — for 83.1 percent.

Export deliveries in January-June 2024 decreased compared to January-June 2023 and amounted to $1.3 billion (3.2 percent).

The volume of imports amounted to $6.3 billion (an increase of 12.4 percent).

The growth in import was ensured by the increase in supplies of:

• Petroleum products — 1.8 times,
• Equipment and mechanical devices — 1.8 times,
• Natural and liquefied gases — 1.6 times,
• Ground transport vehicles and parts for them — by 28.5 percent,
• Pharmaceutical products —by 19.8 percent,
• Garments and accessories for them — by 14.3 percent,
• Fruits and nuts — by 12.6 percent.

According to the Ministry of Economy, at the same time, the supplies of knitted fabric decreased 5.6 times, wood and wood products — by 30.1 percent, fertilizers — by 28.4 percent, electrical machines and equipment — by 26.1 percent.
