Bishkek resident forcibly held foreigners in her sewing workshop

A 57-year-old Bishkek resident and two foreigners have been detained in Bishkek. The press service of the Department of Internal Affairs of Sverdlovsky district reported.

They are suspected of holding foreigners against their will.

On August 1, the 102 service received a message that in one of the sewing workshops on Zhibek Zholu Avenue, foreigners were subjected to physical violence by its owner and three foreign citizens and were forcibly locked in one of the rooms of the same sewing workshop. The fact was registered under the article «Torture» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Law enforcement officers visited the scene and delivered all participants of the incident to the investigative service of the Department of Internal Affairs of Sverdlovsky district. The 57-year-old Bishkek resident, the owner of a sewing workshop, and her two assistants, foreigners aged 22 and 24, were placed in the temporary detention facility of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the capital. The investigation continues.
