Multifunctional sports complex to be built in Issyk-Kul region

A multifunctional sports complex will be built in Kara-Oi village, Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan. The press service of the Kyrgyz Football Union (KFU) reported.

The head of the State Committee for National Security and concurrently the President of the KFU Kamchybek Tashiev held an on-site meeting in the village and discussed the draft design of the sports facility with the local government.

Construction of the complex on a 17.72-hectare plot of land will begin this year. It will create conditions for training of national teams and holding international tournaments in Olympic sports, in particular, football, swimming, athletics, volleyball, basketball, wrestling, judo, boxing, gymnastics, weightlifting and tennis.
