Deputy Chairman of the State Mortgage Company (SMC) Tilek Dzheembaev told at a press conference about the differences between the old and new mortgage programs.
According to him, unlike the previous program, which was available only to civil servants, the new one also covers individuals. Over two years of implementation of My Home 2021-2026 program, the demand for affordable housing has grown significantly, which has led to an increase in the number of applications and queues. In this regard, it was decided to create a new program.
Control and status: The new program is under the direct control of the country’s leadership, which emphasizes its high status and priority.
Housing provision: The old program planned to provide 15,000 families with housing, while the new program is designed for 40,000 families.
Age limits: The minimum age of participants of the new program has been reduced from 21 to 18 years.
Housing area: The target has been increased from 740,000 square meters to more than 2 million square meters. Currently, 1.3 million square meters of housing is under construction. By the end of the program, it is planned to increase the figure to more than 2 million square meters.
To implement the new program, designed for 2024-2030, the State Mortgage Company plans to use donor support, public funds and its own working capital. The funding target has been increased from 30 billion to 100 billion soms.
