Kumtor helps improve quality of education in regions

In the first half of 2024, Kumtor Gold Company made a gift to children in Naryn region — a long-awaited mini-football field appeared in the school-gymnasium named after Ninakan Zhundubaeva.

In addition, Kumtor Gold Company allocated funds to improve the computer science room at the secondary school in Zhany-Zhol village of Naryn region. Pupils can study modern information technologies in a comfortable and equipped environment.

Vocational lyceum No. 55 in Barskoon village, Jeti-Oguz district, Issyk-Kul region, also received significant support. Earlier, Kumtor Gold Company helped build a dormitory for 80 students and open a branch for 100 places in Kyzyl-Suu village, ensuring convenience and accessibility of education for lyceum students. Recent financial assistance to the lyceum was another step towards the development of vocational education in the region.

A kindergarten for 40 children was built and equipped in Temir-Kanat village of Ton district, and a new kindergarten for 120 children appeared in Ak-Suu village of the region. All these projects will help to provide quality preschool education to children, creating a reliable foundation for their future, the company believes.
