Akylbek Japarov urges Kyrgyzstan’s Ambassadors to creatively seek investors

Economic diplomacy is a requirement of time today. The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov said at the meeting of the Board of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the results of the first half of the year.

The meeting participants considered the fulfillment of agreements reached on the basis of visits of the head of state and the leadership of the Cabinet, as well as the work done by foreign institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic for the reporting period.

Akylbek Japarov stressed the need to activate work on attracting investments, new technologies, knowledge and innovative solutions, as well as step up work on export of Kyrgyz products.

He noted that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs should focus its efforts on finding funding for the implementation of large-scale infrastructure projects, projects in the field of renewable energy, projects on construction of large trade and logistics complexes, centers for the production, processing and storage of agricultural products, modernization of international airports in Bishkek and Osh.

The head of the Cabinet set a number of tasks for the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and foreign institutions.

«In general, we expect from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and our ambassadors more proactive, more creative, more effective work on attracting foreign investment,» he concluded.
