Pensioner from Osh goes by bicycle to Astana to World Nomad Games

A resident of Osh will go to Astana to the World Nomad Games by a bicycle. The press service of the City Hall reported.

The citizen Mamyt Tashtanov intends to ride 2,016 kilometers. The 74-year-old man was seen off today on the central square of Osh city. City Hall and the office of Presidential Envoy in the region supported Mamyt Tashtanov financially.

The purpose of the cycling tour is to strengthen friendship between the peoples of Turkic-speaking countries and to encourage them to take up sports. Two years ago Mamyt Tashtanov also went on a bicycle trip to Iznik (Turkey), where the IV World Nomad Games were held.

This year, the World Nomad Games will be held from September 8 to September 13 in Astana. More than 2,000 athletes from 85 countries will take part in them in 21 sports.
