40,000 foreigners expelled from Russia for migration violations for six months

About 40,000 foreigners have been expelled from Russia since the beginning of 2024 for violation of migration rules. Interfax reported, citing the Federal Bailiff Service.

In the first half of the year, «39,500 foreign citizens and stateless persons, who violated migration legislation, were expelled from the Russian Federation.»

The head of the agency, Dmitry Aristov, previously noted a significant increase in the number of foreigners deported from the Russian Federation.

«In 2023, we expelled 44,000 migrants to 60 countries. This year, our work in this area has grown significantly. In just five months we have already expelled 30,000 people,» he said in June.

The Federal Bailiff Service employees forcibly expel illegal migrants, foreign citizens and stateless persons from the Russian Federation based on court decisions.
