Landslides in India: No Kyrgyzstanis among killed and injured

A landslide occurred in the Indian Kerala state due to heavy rains. More than 160 people were killed, Hindustan Times reports.

196 people were injured, and 98 more people are missing. In connection with the tragedy, July 31 was declared a day of mourning in the country.

The Foreign Affairs Ministry of Kyrgyzstan reported that there are no Kyrgyzstanis among the killed and injured.

Three landslides occurred in India within four hours due to torrential rains on the night of July 30. Wayanad district was the worst affected in the state. Dozens of houses were destroyed, trees were uprooted. The region’s infrastructure was also damaged: roads and a bridge were destroyed.
