Manas International Airport will expand its terminal. Manas International Airport Chairman of the Board Manasbek Samidinov announced at a press conference in Bishkek.
According to him, the overpass for departing passengers will also be dismantled.
«We have decided to dismantle the overpass and expand the terminal in the southern and western directions. This will allow us to expand the terminal area by approximately 12,000 square meters,» he noted, adding that the expansion will include a section that was previously untouched.
Manasbek Samidinov said that the airport has announced a competition for the reconstruction of the runway. The project will be carried out in two stages: the first stage is design, the second is implementation. Leading companies from China, Russia and Turkey are planned to be involved in the work.
