Foreigner dies after fight in Bishkek, suspect detained

Law enforcement officers detained a 21-year-old foreigner on suspicion of inflicting death by negligence. The press service of the Department of Internal Affairs of Oktyabrsky district of Bishkek told 24.kg news agency.

On July 29, at approximately 9.30 p.m., the 102 service received a call about a verbal altercation that occurred between two foreigners on Yunusaliyev Street, which had escalated into a fight. One of them started feeling unwell, and the man died before the ambulance arrived. A case was initiated under the article «Infliction of death by negligence» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The police added that an external examination of the body was carried out at the scene with the participation of experts and a forensic medical examination was ordered. According to the preliminary certificate of forensic experts, the diagnosis was «blunt abdominal trauma and reflex cardiac arrest.» 21-year-old foreigner was detained and placed in the temporary detention facility of the Main Internal Affairs Department of Bishkek.
