According to the Turkish daily Haberturk, Turkey has been holding talks with Russia and Ukraine to reopen a grain corridor in the Black Sea.
However, according to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the talks have not yet yielded a result.
The grain deal was concluded in 2022 between Russia and Ukraine with the mediation of Turkey and the UN. Under the terms of the agreement on the safe export of Ukrainian grain from the ports of Odessa, Chernomorsk and Yuzhny, restrictions on the access of Russian agricultural products to the world market were supposed to be removed. Russia later considered that not all the terms of the deal were being fulfilled and withdrew from it.
