The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan conducted another intervention to purchase dollars on the foreign exchange market. The bank purchased $34.3 million on July 11. Information about the operation is posted on the bank’s official website.
Of these, $17.5 million were purchased with settlements on the date of the transaction, and $16.8 million — with settlements different from the transaction date.
This is the National Bank’s fourteenth currency intervention since the beginning of 2024. Eleven of them were conducted to purchase foreign currency. In total, the National Bank withdrew $299.25 million from the market.
During this period, the bank conducted only three interventions to sell currency, during which it sold $38.5 million.
