A mosque with 10,000 seats will be built in the city of Jalal-Abad with the financial support of the head of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) Kamchybek Tashiev. The press service of the Spiritual Directorate of the Muslims of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The central prayer building is being constructed on the site of the old Imam Al-Bukhariy mosque. The ceremony of laying the capsule at the construction site was attended by Kamchybek Tashiev, Presidential Envoy to the region Absattar Syrgabaev and religious figures.
Kazy of the region Nematulla azhy Jeenbekov noted that the initiative to build a large mosque belonged to Kamchybek Tashiev, and thanked him for his support. As the SCNS head noted, President Sadyr Japarov will also provide assistance in the implementation of this project.
The muftiyat added that the old mosque in the city is small and was built using the ashar method in the 1990s.
