The date and program of the Shusha summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) have been announced. The summit, initiated by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, will be held in Shusha on July 5-6. Azerbaijani media reported. Among the guests is President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov.
The event will also be attended by leaders of other member countries — Turkey, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Participation of leaders of observer countries and the Secretary General of the OTS Kubanychbek Omuraliev is also expected.
The summit on the topic «Building Sustainable Future through Transport Connectivity and Climate Action,» will serve as a platform for high-level discussions on the organization’s key issues and agenda.
Following the summit, signing of the Karabakh Declaration, as well as a number of other important documents, is expected.
Prior to the summit, a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the OTS will be held in Shusha to finalize the items on the agenda of the informal summit and the documents to be signed by the leaders.
