Head of Bishkek Aibek Dzhunushaliev held an official meeting with the Mayor of Qingdao Zhao Haozhi. The press service of the City Hall reported.
The meeting took place as part of expansion of cooperation between the two cities, with a focus on greening and environmental sustainability issues.
The parties discussed the prospects for joint projects on greening urban areas, exchange of experience in the field of managing green areas and implementing environmental programs. The mayor of Bishkek was also told about the successful practice of Qingdao in the field of creating and maintaining green parks, as well as introducing innovative solutions to improve the environmental situation.
Aibek Dzhunushaliev expressed interest in adopting the experience of Qingdao and noted the importance of joint efforts in combating climate change and improving the quality of the urban environment.
Participants of the meeting agreed to develop an action plan for the implementation of joint initiatives, including the creation of working groups and holding regular meetings to exchange knowledge and best practices.
«We see huge potential in cooperation with Qingdao, especially in the areas of greening and environmental sustainability. This is an important step towards improving the quality of life of our citizens and protecting the environment,» Aibek Dzhunushaliev said.
The mayor of Qingdao, in turn, emphasized the importance of the partnership with Bishkek and expressed his readiness to provide full support in the implementation of joint projects.
