President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov will make a working visit to Kazakhstan on July 3-4 to participate in the next meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). The head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Executive Office of Kyrgyzstan, Muratbek Azymbakiev, said.
«The leaders of the SCO countries will discuss important issues of multilateral and multi-vector cooperation in the organization’s format, as well as issues of regional and international politics. Following the results of the summit meetings, the Astana Declaration of the Council of Heads of State — members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization will be signed. It is also planned to sign agreements and documents aimed at strengthening interaction between the SCO member countries in political, economic, energy and other spheres, as well as expanding and improving the activities of the SCO.
Much attention will be paid to environmental issues, regional and international security, and the further development of digital technologies in promoting trade, economic relations and tourism.
The heads of SCO member states — Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, China, Pakistan, India, as well as Belarus, which at this meeting is awaiting completion of the procedure for obtaining the status of a member state of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, will participate in the work of the Council, chaired by the Kazakh side.
On the sidelines of the SCO summit, President Sadyr Japarov will hold bilateral meetings with the Chairman of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping and the President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh,» Muratbek Azymbakiev said.
