Local residents found the body of a boy in Abshyr-Sai river in Nookat district. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The body was handed over to the police. Work is underway to identify the child. In total, ten people died as a result of the destructive mudflows.
Mudflows occurred in Nookat district of Osh region on June 28, leading to the death of people. Due to heavy rains, mudflows flooded dozens of courtyards and damaged bridges, roads and power lines. An emergency situation has been declared in the district.
On June 30, four people died during a mudflow in Kara-Kuldzha district of Osh region. They are all members of the same family.
