The signing ceremony of the Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between Kyrgyzstan and the EU took place in Brussels as part of President Sadyr Japarov’s working visit to the Kingdom of Belgium.
The document was signed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, Jeenbek Kulubaev, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell, and the Vice-President of the European Commission, Valdis Dombrovskis. The signing took place in the presence of President Sadyr Japarov and President of the European Council Charles Michel.
The previous agreement between Kyrgyzstan and the EU was signed in 1999.
