Citizens of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan were detained, who are suspected of extorting a large sum of money from a foreign investor. The press center of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic (SCNS) reported.
It has been found out that two men extorted $550,000 from a foreign investor for the termination of a criminal case regarding laundering of money of Kolbaev’s organized crime group. They hid behind close connections with the leadership of the State Committee for National Security. The suspects were detained and placed in the temporary detention center of the SCNS.
