Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov, as part of his working trip to Chui region, got acquainted with the activities of a number of industrial enterprises. The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
Akylbek Japarov visited a plant for the production of basalt fiber (mineral wool) in Issyk-Ata district. The company has completed installation of the production line and is setting up basic systems. The equipment was launched in test mode; a trial batch of products was manufactured.
It is noted that today basalt fiber is 100 percent imported. The plant Izo-Penoplast LTD will be the only manufacturer of these products in Kyrgyzstan. The total production capacity of the plant is 20,000 tons of basalt fiber per year, which will allow to sell the products on the local market and export them. The plant will create up to 100 jobs.
Kant TShP LLC is the largest enterprise in Kyrgyzstan producing high-quality chrysotile and fiber cement products (slate roofing). In 2021, the company sold 4 million sheets of slate.
With the launch of the plant, more than 100 jobs will be created. The project will cover 15 percent of market demand. The planned volume of product exports is $1 million per year.
Akylbek Japarov gave a number of instructions to provide assistance to enterprises.
