Two citizens of Kyrgyzstan are suspected of calls for mass riots in Issyk-Kul region. The press center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) reported.
According to it, two men via WhatsApp called on local farmers to organize riots, block roads and take milk truck drivers hostage.
In WhatsApp groups with more than 1,000 participants, the citizens distributed audio messages calling for destructive actions, disrupting public order against the backdrop of a seasonal decline in milk prices (low fat content).
According to the conclusion of the forensic linguistic examination, the audio messages of the men have signs of a call for organizing mass unrest. A criminal case was opened and an investigation is underway.
The SCNS calls on citizens not to violate public order and not to succumb to provocations spread on social media.
