Energy sector of Kyrgyzstan discussed at forum in Vienna

The International Energy Investment Forum started in Vienna (Austria). The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan reported.

The forum began with a video message from President Sadyr Japarov. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Japarov delivered a welcoming speech.

The head of the Cabinet of Ministers noted that the forum will be memorable not only for Kyrgyzstan, but also for the entire Central Asian region, as the issue of further implementation of a project of regional importance — construction of Kambarata HPP-1 — will be discussed.

«The Forum will be an important step towards sustainable development and a bright beginning of the path that will lead us to a green and prosperous world,» Akylbek Japarov said.

He expressed confidence that the forum would become a unique platform not only for the exchange of experience and ideas, but also for strategic partnership and decisive joint actions.

«Let this forum open up opportunities for many successful projects and initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life and preserving the natural resources of our planet,» the head of the Cabinet concluded.

The forum is attended by representatives and management of more than 200 international financial organizations, delegations from Central Asia, Europe, the Middle East and private investors.
