Annual tourism exhibition Issyk-Kul ITF 2024 held in Cholpon-Ata

The main tourism event of 2024 — the International Tourism Exhibition Issyk-Kul ITF 2024 has started in Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan.

The event traditionally takes place at Rukh-Ordo cultural center in the city of Cholpon-Ata. This is already the 16th ITF exhibition. More than 120 tourism industry companies and over 3,000 visitors gathered there.

«The exhibition, firstly, gives the tourism business an opportunity to get to know each other. To learn what products appear in the regions and, if necessary, to conclude cooperation agreements. The exhibition will be useful for tourists who can find out what you can visit in Kyrgyzstan, where you can go in the summer, what to see in Jalal-Abad, Batken, Talas and other regions of the country,» the organizers noted.

Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce Sanzhar Bolotov emphasized that in order to improve government policy in the tourism sector, priorities are primarily focused on infrastructure development. Projects are being implemented in the field of reconstruction and construction of airports in the regions, road repairs, and the creation of the necessary cultural, entertainment and sports infrastructure.

«The exhibition has become a traditional platform where we can discuss tourism products and find new opportunities for the sector. The main task today is to improve the quality of infrastructure in order to create comfortable, safe conditions for tourists, as well as instill a careful attitude to nature,» the Deputy Minister added.

Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to Issyk-Kul region Ulanbek Daliev made a welcoming speech. «Today is the most important day not only for the region, but also for the tourism sector of Kyrgyzstan. The fair provides a great opportunity to meet partners. Increasing the tourism potential of Kyrgyzstan in the international arena is our main goal,» he said.
