Kyrgyzstan was included in the list of countries with undernourished children. UNICEF published the report «Child Food Poverty. Nutrition deprivation in early childhood» for 2022.
A total of 63 countries were included in the list. According to UNICEF, Somalia has the highest child malnutrition. This country tops the list.
It is followed by Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Afghanistan, Sierra Leone, Ethiopia, Liberia, India, Pakistan, Mauritania, Senegal, Benin, Kiribati, Myanmar, Tajikistan, Gambia, Congo, Niger, Burkina Faso, Haiti, Nigeria, Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, Togo, Syria, Mali and Timor-Leste.
A low level of malnutrition in children is registered in countries such as Honduras, Thailand, Mongolia, Cuba, Vietnam, Brazil, Tunisia, Montenegro, Nepal, Dominican Republic, Fiji, Georgia, Colombia, Bolivia, Uruguay, Maldives, Paraguay, Sri- Lanka, Turkmenistan, Peru, Costa Rica, Serbia and Belarus.
