A new CT scanner, provided through the Social and Economic Development Programme of the Government of Japan, has been installed at the National Hospital in Bishkek. The press center of the Ministry of Health reported.
According to the Chief Physician of the National Hospital, Bakyt Tologonov, a price list has been compiled for CT diagnostic services — the cost of one examination is 1,400 soms.
He noted that the capacity of the new CT scanner allows serving up to 40-50 patients per day, depending on the complexity and severity of their pathologies.
The ministry added that the project «Social and Economic Development Programme of the Government of Japan» started in 2020. Within its framework, a grant of 500 million yen was provided. These funds were used to purchase modern medical equipment, including a magnetic resonance imaging scanner with a unique cardiovascular program, a stationary X-ray machine and an ultrasound diagnostic machine for the National Center of Cardiology and Therapy, as well as the CT scanner for the National Hospital.
