U.S. donates more than 12,000 books to southern regions of Kyrgyzstan

Thirty organizations — such as schools, libraries, and universities — in Osh, Jalal-Abad, and Batken regions of Kyrgyzstan received a total of over 12,000 English-language books from the United States. The U.S. Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

As noted, these are well-loved books donated from the American people to the Kyrgyz people.

There are books for all ages — children to adults — spanning a wide range of subjects and are a valuable English-language learning resource. The donation will empower Kyrgyzstani residents to learn English, explore new knowledge, and foster a spirit of international friendship for generations to come.

«These books are more than just paper and ink,» said U.S. Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic Lesslie Viguerie. «They are keys that unlock the world of English language learning and bridges connecting the people of the Kyrgyz Republic and the United States.»
