Sadyr Japarov expresses condolences to Iran over death of Ebrahim Raisi

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov sent a telegram of condolences to Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei in connection with the death of the President of Iran Ebrahim Raisi and accompanying officials in a helicopter crash. The press service of the head of state reported.

«On behalf of the Kyrgyz people and on my own behalf, I express deep condolences to Your Excellency, the brotherly people of Iran, the family and loved ones of the deceased. President Ebrahim Raisi made a huge contribution to increasing the prestige of Iran on the world stage, its development and the well-being of the people. The wisdom, care and kindness of Ebrahim Raisi, all his noble deeds for the people of Iran will forever remain in our memory. We are always ready to share the grief of the brotherly Iranian people in these difficult days,» the telegram says.

One of three helicopters from the motorcade of the country’s President Ebrahim Raisi disappeared in Iran on May 19. The President, the Governor of East Azerbaijan Province and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian were on board. On May 20, the Iranian Mehr new agency reported that the President Ebrahim Raisi and seven other people were killed in the helicopter crash.
