Minimum subsistence level in 2023 reaches 7,600 soms in Kyrgyzstan

At the end of last year, the subsistence minimum in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 7,681.54 soms. The National Statistical Committee provided such data.

This is almost 75 soms higher than in the third quarter of 2023 and 503.22 soms higher than in 2022.

The main part of the subsistence minimum is the food basket — 65 percent.

The subsistence minimum for the population of working age is 8,579.26 soms, pensioners — 6,816.47 soms, children — 6,544.88 soms.

The highest level of subsistence minimum is still in Jalal-Abad region (7,931.77 soms) and Bishkek (7,901.14 soms), the lowest is in Talas region (7,129.69 soms).
