Child's death in dental department: Health Minister meets with relatives

Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan Alymkadyr Beishenaliev met with relatives of a three-year-old girl, who died during a surgery in the dental department of the medical center of the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy. The press center of the ministry reported.

The official expressed condolences to the girl’s relatives, listened to the requests and arguments of the relatives. Alymkadyr Beishenaliev noted that the director of the center, head of the department, anesthesiologist, dentist, who provided medical care, were fired. He assured that those responsible will be punished according to the law.

«The Ministry of Health has created a commission, which gave recommendations to law enforcement agencies for further decisions. The dental department of the medical center of Kyrgyz State Medical Academy was closed as well as the private dental clinic, where they first turned for help,» the Health Minister said.

Recall, the girl was given general anesthesia, after which she died. The police opened a criminal case, the Ministry of Health created a commission.
