Several settlements in four regions of Kyrgyzstan become villages

The President of Kyrgyzstan signed the law on classifying some settlements in Batken, Osh, Chui and Issyk-Kul regions and the city of Osh as aiyls (villages).

The document was adopted by the Parliament on November 29, 2023.

The purpose of the law is to classify the following settlements as aiyls (villages):

  • Momunov of Kara-Bak aiyl aimak in Batken district;
  • Zhany-Zher and Zhiydelik of Kadamdzhai city;
  • Kelechek of Ishak-Polotkhan aiyl aimak in Kadamdzhai district, Batken region;
  • Kachybek, Meerkan and Tatar of Osh city;
  • Kayragach of Kashkar-Kyshtak aiyl aimak, Dostuk;
  • Kyzyl-Tal of Madyn aiyl aimak of Kara-Suu district;
  • Kalday T. Zulpuev aiyl aimak, Nookat district, Osh region;
  • Ismail of Kyzyl-Tuu aiyl aimak of Sokuluk district of Chui region and Kelechek of Sary-Bulak aiyl aimak of Tyup district of Issyk-Kul region.

The document comes into force ten days from the date of its official publication.
