Vice President of the Wrestling Federation of Kyrgyzstan Akhror Iminov was again placed in the pre-trial detention center of the State Committee for National Security. The Pervomaisky District Court confirmed the information to 24.kg news agency.
An investigator from the Main Investigation Department of the State Committee for National Security filed a petition with the court. By the decision of the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek dated December 30, 2023, it was satisfied.
«The previously chosen preventive measure in the form of a recognizance not to leave the city in relation to I.A.H (Akhror Iminov. — Note of 24.kg news agency) was changed to a preventive measure in the form of detention until the end of the investigation, that is, until February 4, 2024,» the court said.
Akhror Iminov is suspected of financing members of the organized crime group of the liquidated crime boss Kamchi Kolbaev. Akhror Iminov was previously released from custody.
He was arrested as part of a criminal case initiated under Article 261 «Creation of an organized group or participation in it» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to the State Committee for National Security, the vice president of the Wrestling Federation was involved in the activities of a number of companies for the transportation and logistics of goods, and also took part in collecting the so-called «tribute» (approximately 30 percent of the total profit) for the general fund of the organized crime group.
In mid-November, Akhror Iminov was released from the pre-trial detention center on his own recognizance, but now he was detained again.
