Demolition of the gate and fence of the house of ex-customs officer Raiymbek Matraimov began in Osh city. Maksatbek Orozaliev, deputy head of the Municipal Property Department of the Osh City Hall, informed 24.kg news agency.
According to him, violations were committed during the construction of the fence: 9 meters of land in the yard of Matraimov’s house are municipal property.
«In December 2023, we issued a warning about the demolition of the fence. Since this is an object of social significance, the prosecutor’s office also sent a proposal to consider the territory of nearby houses through the court. We will work together with law enforcement agencies,» Maksatbek Orozaliev said.
He added that the length of the demolished fence is 25 meters.
Raiymbek Matraimov served as deputy head of the State Customs Service from 2015 to 2017. After the change of power in October 2020, he was accused of corruption at customs. The total damage caused by Raiymbek Matraimov in one criminal case alone amounted to 2 billion soms. He compensated for the damage for two months, most of the amount was returned in property — buildings and apartments. He pleaded guilty to corruption. The Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek sentenced him to a fine of 260,000 soms.
