President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov signed a decree on implementation of the public-private partnership project on construction and maintenance of a bypass road around Uzgen town in Osh region of the Kyrgyz Republic. The press service of the head of state reported.
To date there is a large traffic congestion on Bishkek — Osh road, including on the section passing through Uzgen. Therefore, there is a need to build a bypass highway around the city.
The presidential decree notes that the most important direction in improving the road infrastructure of Kyrgyzstan is the construction and maintenance of highways within the framework of public-private partnership.
The National Agency for Investments has been instructed to prepare documents for the implementation of the PPP project for the construction of a bypass road around Uzgen and submit them to the Cabinet of Ministers for consideration.
The Cabinet of Ministers until January 30, 2024 should take measures to work out the issue of construction of a bypass road around Uzgen town on the basis of public-private partnership.
