An electronic paid parking system began operating in Bishkek on December 18. The press service of the City Hall reported.
The system is working in test mode in the block limited by Toktogul — Tynystanov — Mikhail Frunze — Turusbekov streets.
«Innovations began on the territory of the Сity Hall — near the central office building, where the municipal parking also operates,» the city administration noted.
The main objective of the pilot project is to test software with the ability to pay through mobile wallets and bank payment systems.
«To streamline, relieve congestion and reduce the flow of traffic into the central part of the capital, the municipality plans to zone parking spaces and equip all municipal parking lots with electronic systems,» the City Hall added.
