According to the Institute of Geology of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, the length of seasons and the date of their onset have changed due to climate change (warming) in Chui Valley. The length of winter, according to the Bishkek weather station, shortened from 95 to 71 days, spring duration increased slightly, by three days. Summer length has increased from 145 to 154 days.
«The duration of autumn from 1931 to 1960 was 59 days, and from 1961 to 1990 it was 75 days. Then, from 1991 to 2021, it shortened to 71 days. Autumn and winter now come later, spring and summer — earlier,» Kanat Abdrakhmanov posted.
