Kyrgyzstani becomes world boxing champion among juniors

For the first time in history, Kyrgyzstani Amantur Jumaev became the world boxing champion among juniors. The championship was held in Yerevan. The Boxing Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

He competed in the weight category up to 52 kilograms. Amantur Jumaev is a student of honored coach of Kyrgyzstan Beishen Sabatarov.

The athlete defeated Ibrohim Giesov from Uzbekistan in the opening bout by a split decision of judges (4:1).

In the 1\8 finals he defeated Daniel Diesendorf from Germany with a clear advantage (he competed under the IBA flag).

In the quarterfinals the Kyrgyzstani defeated Maxim Chaplygin, a member of the Russian national team by judges’ split decision (4:1).

The duel for the final ended with the defeat of Oskar Grodzicki from Poland.

In the fight for gold and the title of world champion, Amantur Jumaev confidently defeated the representative of Armenia Aren Kharatyan.
