Rallies against the mandatory use of cash registers take place not only in Bishkek. According to media reports, protests were held today in Osh, Talas, and Karakol cities.
Local market sellers oppose changes in tax payments. They ask the authorities to allow them to continue working under the license.
A rally took place at the capital’s Dordoi market and at Kara-Suu market in Osh region on Thursday.
Entrepreneurs working at Alamedin market, as well as at Orto-Sai and Madina markets, held a rally today.
License for trading activities will be canceled in Kyrgyzstan from January 1,2024. Dordoi and Kara-Suu markets are switching to a special tax regime. It means that cash registers will not be used in these markets, and the amount of tax payable will depend on the turnover of goods. At the same time, it will be possible to trade only inside the market.
