Police detain woman suspected of fraud of $500,000

Employees of the Main Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained a suspect in a major fraud. The amount of damage caused to citizens is about $500,000.

Multi-episode criminal cases on fraud related to the sale of apartments and land plots are being investigated.

Applications from victims were registered in the Department of Internal Affairs of Leninsky district of Bishkek (more than 40 facts of fraudulent actions), the Department of Internal Affairs of Oktyabrsky district (more than 10 facts of fraudulent actions), and there are also applications in other departments of internal affairs of the city.

Citizen K.M., 38, is a suspect in all these crimes. The woman gained trust, offering services in the acquisition of real estate, attracted potential clients. At the same time, she managed to sell to other people land plots that were not subject to provision for the construction of individual residential buildings.

Money transactions were carried out directly through the detainee. It has been found out that about 50 people have suffered at the hands of the suspected fraudster, and there may be more victims.

The suspect has repeatedly changed her personal details, changing her surname four times. In 2022, she was put on the wanted list. The woman disguised herself and changed her appearance.

Yesterday she was found and detained. The suspect was taken to the temporary detention center.

Investigative measures are being carried out.
