International reserves increase by $36.09 million since beginning of 2023

At the end of October 2023, Kyrgyzstan’s gross international reserves reached $2,834.18 billion. The website of the National Bank reports.

Over the past month, the gross international reserves increased by $204.71 million. Compared to October 2022, they grew by $247.1 million, and since the beginning of the year — by $36.09 million. The highest level of reserves was in September 2021 — $3,241.14 billion.

The National Bank uses the reserves to smooth out sharp fluctuations in the foreign exchange market. Since the beginning of the year, it conducted 12 interventions to sell dollars for a total of $610,840 million.
