The State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) warned Kyrgyzstanis about criminal liability for participating in armed conflicts on the territory of other countries or undergoing terrorist training.
As the press center of the state committee noted, currently, against the backdrop of the Palestinian-Israeli armed conflict, provocative posts, publications and comments from individual users about the need to commit jihad in Palestine are actively spreading on social media, as well as among Internet users.
«The state committee strictly warns that if there are signs of a person’s intention to participate or be sent to armed conflict zones, or inducement to do so, they will be prosecuted under Article 256 (punishable by imprisonment for a term from five to ten years with confiscation of property) and Article 416 (punishable by imprisonment for a term from seven to ten years) of the Criminal Code,» the SCNS reported.
On October 7, early in the morning, Hamas launched a massive rocket attack from the Gaza Strip on the south of the country. The number of victims at the epicenter of the conflict has increased to 9,000 people, most of them are Palestinian women and children.
