«It is important for the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union to continue strengthening technological sovereignty and a common industrial base in key sectors of the economy,» Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said at a meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government and the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in an expanded format.

According to him, in spring EAEU leaders adopted amendments to the treaty on the Union, which provides for a supranational mechanism to support industrial cooperation. Now it is necessary to pay special attention to the support of joint projects in the industrial sector. It is worth launching subsidies for such projects as early as next year.

«Wide opportunities for the EAEU are opened by the use of digital data. The EAEU countries have already seen the benefits of their use. I would like to give an example of a project on introduction of electronic navigation seals. More than 600 shipments have been made in the pilot mode with the use of such seals of the union sample,» Mikhail Mishustin said.

He noted that the development of trade in the Eurasian space will also be facilitated by the implementation of the agreement on a harmonized system for determining the origin of goods exported from the customs territory of the EAEU. The document approves general mechanisms for exporters when working with third countries.

The EAEU member countries will continue to eliminate trade barriers and develop cooperation with third countries, Mikhail Mishustin noted.
