The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan entered the foreign exchange market with intervention for the second time in October. The bank’s website says.
It sold $44.8 million with settlements different from the transaction date.
Since the beginning of the year, the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic has conducted 13 interventions to sell dollars for a total amount of $654,840 million.
The reason for the intervention was a sharp change in the dollar exchange rate. Today, all commercial banks in the country and exchange offices in the capital buy dollars for 88.9-89.1 soms and sell them for 89.22 soms. The official exchange rate is 88.92 soms.
